Welcome to 440Hz.my. We’re a group of Malaysian journalists and musicians with decades of experience in our respective industries. This website/forum is founded with the intention of bringing together Malaysian musicians – professionals, enthusiasts, hobbyists, amateurs – on a platform for them to share views, exchange ideas and obtain knowledge/information.
We intend to cover music gear-related news, events, reviews and similar topics, and also allow music industry people – musicians, stores, gig/concert organisers – an avenue to promote their careers and businesses. If you’re organising anything related to music – whether for charity or otherwise – do let us know.
Most importantly, this website is a community for musicians, and not an association. Participation is voluntary.
Users are welcome to register and use our Forum/Gear Bazaar for the purposes outlined under our Terms of Use. Have fun.
440Hz.my is headed by Sujesh Pavithran, who was a reporter and editor for various publications since 1985, including The Star for 28 years; he is also a musician/songwriter and currently fronts his own band, SquareCircles, and runs two other websites, audiofi.net and Hi-Fi 4 Sale.net. More on our team later.
