BROWSE, snack, jam… that’s the concept underlying the relaunched Swee Lee Music outlet at Lot 10, Kuala Lumpur. At the event on Thursday, Nov 29, was Swee Lee managing director Kuok Meng Ru, who admitted that he’s still a firm believer in brick-and-mortar stores, and wants make browsing at the store a unique experience.
You’ll find a new corner that sells vinyl, plus a coffee bar (with a high-end coffee machine, and there’s cake and pastries, too) and a space for bands and artistes to do their stuff. As for the main section, you’ll find the musical instruments easily accessible if you want to try something out… like a guitar or bass.
“We want people to be able to touch and play the guitars, we don’t want to keep the guitars behind glass doors,” said Kuok.
There’s also a section where you’ll find some special instruments for sale – rare and vintage stuff sourced by the company.
Check out the store and tell us about your experience.
